Exam Application Principles

Dear Students,

To ensure that our faculty exams are conducted in an orderly and fair manner, the following Exam Practice Principles will be implemented:

1. Students are required to turn off their mobile phones, smartwatches, and other electronic devices that allow information exchange in the exam hall. Mobile phones must be placed on the podium and turned off. Students who possess these devices during the exam, are found using them, or are observed to have these devices turned on within their reach will have their exams invalidated, and legal action will be taken against them.

2. Students are prohibited from keeping any materials other than exam materials (student ID cards, pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, exam papers, and simple calculators) on, under, or next to their desks during the exam.

3. Any course materials (textbooks, lecture notes, notes taken during the exam, etc.) related to the course being examined or from other courses are strictly prohibited from being left open in the exam hall during the exam. Students who fail to comply with this rule will have their exams invalidated. However, if written information about the course related to the exam is found anywhere in the student's seat (desk, table, wall, etc.) during the exam, the exam will be considered invalid, and legal action will be taken.

4. Student IDs must be kept visible on the desk throughout the exam. Students who do not have their student ID must present an official photo document, such as an ID card, driver's license, or passport, along with a student ID card obtained from the Student Affairs Office before the exam begins. Otherwise, the student will not be admitted to the exam. If it is discovered that the student is taking the exam without their ID, the exam will be terminated.

5. If no seating plan has been prepared by the course instructor, the exam invigilators may change or arrange the seating positions of students.

6. Students must take the exam in the pre-determined classrooms. Students whose names are not on the attendance list cannot take the exam. Students whose names are not on the attendance list due to system issues or other reasons may take the exam by declaring in writing that they have taken the relevant course. Otherwise, their exam will be invalid.

7. No items such as pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, pencil leads, calculators, etc. may be used during the exam. No exchange of exam materials is permitted.

8. Unless otherwise determined by the course instructor, students arriving 15 minutes or more late will not be admitted to the exam. No additional time will be given to students arriving late.

9. Students must sign the exam attendance list with a blue pen or ink.

10. The course instructor or examiners may take action against students who talk to each other, look at, or attempt to look at each other's papers without warning. Students who cheat, attempt to cheat, cheat, or receive cheating will have their exam papers seized, and the cheating will be recorded on their answer sheets. These students will be removed from the exam room. Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken.

11. Failure to comply with the above-mentioned provisions will result in the applicable disciplinary provisions being applied.
